Buying Jewellery Online

Buying Jewellery Online can be a really scary thing to do. Buying a cd or book is one thing, but something that you would normally try on is another.

Ive bought numerous things over the internet, music, books, and never dreamed of buying a bag or clothes, but because my local store never had the stock I felt the need to go online.

I bought a Mandarina Duck Bag Online which I really love. I was shocked how quickly it arrived, under 36 hours of ordering.

I really wanted a Nike Tracksuit that I had seen in the shops but couldnt get both pieces in the right size so I had no choice but to order online.

Now the Nike website was one of the worst websites I had ever used but I wanted this tracksuit so badly I perservered with it. When it finally arrived, I liked it but the trousers were still a little big. Had I have been in a shop I probably wouldnt have bought it, but I kept it anyway as I just couldnt be bothered to send it back.

Having realised how easy buying online was and lovely when you can get it all wrapped up I ended up buying most of my Christmas Presents online too.

As long as you know you can send things back that you purchase online why not? Other important factors when buying jewellery online is that payment is safe and secure and also whether or not the company keep your payment details. Read through the terms and conditions carefully. If something is made to order then it may not be able to be returned and also earrings maybe for obvious reasons, but generally most things can be returned. Also many companies try and get customers to think about Christmas early so returns policy may be extended if you buy say in October or November for Christmas as usally its a 30 day money back guarantee but they will extended so if you present is suitable you can still change it.

Here are just some of the quotes from people who purchased from The Diamond Store in the past year or so have bought jewellery online and people are genuingly really pleased with the service and quality.

Should I be worried ? I purchased a diamond in Australia from an online seller.
The stone was certified by a company called Bauer gemmological in Melbourne.
I have since returned home and found that the diamond may not be a natural stone?
I am not sure what this means but what was explained to me is that the stone is treated.
my jeweller was very upset that I we been sold this stone and wants to send it to the GIA for confirmation.
What should I do?

Hi Sally, it depends how much you paid for it and whether you like it or not.

If the diamond is an expensive one then it would be worth sending it to the GIA for confirmation of its quality.

If you have any doubts at all it may just be better you ask for a refund from the jewellers in Austrailia.

They should have a clear and concise returns policy.

I hope this helps you

Good Luck,
