Rhydian Roberts is 24 years old from Powy Wales.
I thought he was alot older than 24, he seems it. I think Danni has made a mistake as I dont think people are going to like this guy except in Wales. He may have a great voice but he doesnt have the likability factor. I did feel a little sorry for him the other night when he walked into the room and it was as if he wasnt there, but I can see how he may wind people up.
Rydian attends university in Birminham and has sung Barritone for the past 7 years. He is also a personal trainer.
Rydian is in Dannis Group "The Boys" along with Leon Jackson (who I knew would get through as I wrote about him ages ago here and also Andy Williams.
So who likes Rhydian?
Sharon was horrible on Saturday Night. I thought he looked like a ghost and a little strange too, but she was quite bitchy, infact she had it in for everyone tonight.
Rhydian sang I would do anything for love and quite well. He got quite comments from all the judges including Sharon in the end.

Rhydian Roberts was fab tonight, still strange but great voice singing Phantom of the Opera in his burgandy velvet jacket. I definately think he would look better with slight darker hair.

He's bloody fantastic... the talent on that boy is ridiculous. I know he'll go far - I just hope he gets the part of the Phantom on Broadway, that'd be too amazing.

im not from wales and i love rhydian more than anythin! the reason people think he doesnt have the likeability factor is the way the producers edit the show. they want a bad guy that ppl love to hate and rhydian was chosen for this role. and most dummies believe everything they're told. its all rubbish, he is a genuine person and he has the cutest smile ever - just watch after his next performance. he is by MILES the best singer on the show and if he doesnt win i will CRY
He is a great singer, but tonight I didnt think much of his performance...just dont think disco is for him.

Brilliant as always, fantastic voice and stage presense.
Im not convinced he is XFactor, I think one of those people that people will love on the show, but when it comes to selling records im not too sure many people will continue to buy.

Saturday Night’s biggest entertainment show comes to Cardiff for one night only! The X Factor and Red Dragon FM invite you to join them for The X Factor Live Final from City Hall in Cardiff.
This Saturday, the nations are divided as our three finalists Same Difference, Leon Jackson and Rhydian Roberts battle it out live on ITV1 to be crowned the winner of The X Factor 2007 and walk away with a one million pound recording contract with Sony BMG.
At City Hall, our celebrity guest presenter (to be announced) will be leading the Welsh supporters in a very special one off transmission. Come along to champion your finalist, feature in the live ITV1 final and share in some of Rhydian’s finest moments!
In the studio on Saturday, our finalists will be joined by opera diva Katherine Jenkins, pop princess Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan. Also in the studio we will have a performance from the most memorable characters from throughout this year’s series. All of which you can enjoy on the big screen inside City Hall.

RHYDIAN WAS FANTASTIC ON SATURDAY NIGHT HE HAS A FANTASTIC VOICE AND SHOULD HAVE WON THE X FACTOR ALL OF WALES SHOULD BE VERY PROUD OF HIM HE IS FAB AND WILL GO ON TO DO FAB THINGS
Rhydian Roberts was absolutely fabulous throughout Series 4 of X Factor. Unfortunately we the public were had from the start and the poor mega-talented guy stood no chance. I think it was fixed from the word go. Rhydian was given the wrong time for an appointment to make him late, and the rest were told to ignore him, to make him appear unloved. Many things he said were edited to make him seem arrogant and cocky. And last Saturday, I thought it was odd that my votes were not getting through, then discovered I was not the only one who experienced that - someone had turned off his voting lines before the official closing time!!!
I am not Welsh - not even a Brit, but as a human being who wanted talent to win over mediocrity, I was disappointed that Rhydian did not win.
If indeed Leon Jackson won because the Scots and young pre-teen girls voted for him, it would be bearable - but if Leon's shock win is found to be due to Rhyd's phone lines being closed early, last Saturday was just a farce and a travesty!
