Diamonds at the Oscars

Well...never mind the shoes diamond chick...check out the earrings...just look at Beyonce...I mean that girl can wear anything...all that bling and she looks sensational....dress diamond drop earrings can really finish off an outfit.

...and Lara Linney proves that...even if she did miss out on winning she looks great in a matching earring and necklace ensemble. sometimes it is great to wear both and she really chose stunning jewellery. When you have a diamond necklace like that who needs a dress?!

Even the ever elegant Scarlett Johansson opted for Diamonds..but this time on her head...well if a girl can't wear a tiara to the Oscars when can you wear one! Good for you Scarlett...you looked spectacular!

Diamond Shoes worn by Dream Girl!

Now girls, if you have loose diamonds lyeing around the house, like most of us have, and you fancy doing abit of art and craft and feel a little creative, then then you could stick them to a pair of old shoes just like shoe designer Stuart Weitzman’s who is supplying some pretty spectacular accessories for this year’ Oscars.

Annika from the new musical movie Dreamgirls (which is loosely based on the career of Diana Ross and the Supremes), is walking down the red carpet in a pair of skyscraper heels held on by two clear straps studded with hundreds of hand set diamonds.

Now I couldnt even bring myself to wear a pair of 200 dollar shoes, with the way I walk, not to mention how many heels I have actually broken including getting them caught in a the drains whilst walking down the street, so imagine wearing shoes that have a retail value of around $2,000,000.

Mind you, she will be walking on the red carpet!

Wags Boutique and their Jewellery

Oh no...I did it again, I watched that Wags Boutique with all the wannabies.

Its awful, some of them are just so fowl mouthed its unbelievable. Then you have one shop I think its "Better Half" with one of the girls called Cassie who is the ex girlfriend of Michael Essien (plays for Chelsea - if you didnt know), she just constantly needs attention and every week is in the paper with another kiss and tell about her ex boyfriend footballer.

One of them got engaged, the blonde one with the squeaky voice, Charlotte Meares aka Mrs Jermain Defoe. She just constantly showed off her new diamond engagement ring that was a large square diamond like the one above but times the price by about 30! 63,000 pounds apparently!

The girl with long dark hair, I think her name is Michaela, she was wearing really large ruby colour earrings.

What did seem to be very popular amongst the some of the "Wags" were Diamond Stud Earrings.

Julie Phillips (wife of Kevin Phillips), Heather Swain and even June Sarpong was wearing them. And I must say, June Sarpong looked the best she has looked in ages. She looked so great last night with her hair completely swept back with a long pony tail with her diamond stud earrings sparkling.

Birthstones & Present Ideas

For my birthday last year I received some lovely pressies, but one that I particulary loved and wear lots, are a pair of earrings with my birthstone in. Which is Turqoise, December 31st if anyone is interested!!!

I felt that it was a very personal present and that some thought had gone into buying them. I wear them nearly all the time at the moment.

So if you are stuck for a present, albeit man, woman, daughter, son, grandad or grandma, a small gift with their personal birthstone colour, I think would go down a treat.

Hugh Grant and Jemima Khan Split Up!

Shock...Horror...only the other day we were saying what a nice couple they make!

Weell hot off the press...it seems like Hugh and Jemima are no more.

apparently he gave her a beautiful sapphire and diamond ring a few weeks ago which led us all to believe that something was going on...

but Jemima has stated that they are no longer togaether and Hugh was pictured on his own returning from abroad.

A source close to the couple said that Hugh's old flame Liz Hurley was to blame.

"Jemima often reffered to liz as Camilla....she still features very much in Hugh's life and the two women do not see eye to eye".

Oh well...it's not all bad ...after all Hugh is now available girls...so put on your sparkle and get out there quick!!!

Jewellery at The Brits

Last night I watched a little bit of the Brits...

I know I know...what was I doing in on Valentines Day...I should have been being showered in Diamonds!


Well, sometimes things dont quite go according to plan.

Anyway, I couldnt beleive how much jewellery everyone was wearing, not just diamond jewellery but all types.

Russell Brand is mad as a hatter isnt he? He was covered in rings on both hands, necklaces, bracelets. And black was a popular colour, one ring looked like an onyx ring surround with diamonds, well sparkly stuff!

Then Fern Cotton, dressed in her Leopard Print Dress had rings on both fingers and big ones, along with big chunky bracelets.

Anthony Ed who plays the Prime Minister in Little Britain was also wearing a black stone ring.

Sophie Ellis Bexter came on to present an award and was wearing massive chandelier type earrings.

It seems the bigger the better.

Corrine Bailey Rae wore just a ring, but her performance was amazing. Such a show and so original. So refreshing not to see the normal backing singers and dancings prancing around in next to nothing. Well done Corrine!


And well last of all...Take That...didnt they do well. Pacience is a great song.

Helen Mirren to win an oscar?

Looking at all the stars in Covent Garden last night, I just could not keep my eyes off Helen Mirren, or rather Helen's neck!

The 61-year-old, who wore shimmering Chopard white pearls and diamond necklace for last night's glittering ceremony at London's Royal Opera House, had always been favourite to land the prestigious prize -her first film Bafta.


The Chopard necklace deserved an award in itself!

Helen is definitely well on her way to receiving an oscar.
After all Americans love the royal family and Helen played the Queen to perfection.
She is a true actress in every sense of the word!

Anna Nicole Smith has Died

I was just about to write about something when I just read on the news that Anna Nicole Smith has just died. She was only 39 years old.

I cant beleive it, she was so young. Apparently she was staying in the Siminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood where she was found unconscious. She was rushed to hospital where doctors tried to revive her but she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Its all a bit of a strange story as her son died recently after the birth of her daughter.

Anna Nicole Smith was the living Marilyn Monroe wasnt she? When she had her bad days - she looked bad but when she was done up - she looked amazing, always dripping in the sparkliest of jewellery with her big blond hair.

Kylie Diamond Earrings & Necklace

WOW Kylie, you look amazing!

Kylie has done very well for herself over the years. It seems like yesterday when I was wishing I was her wearing those fab dirty overalls and kissing Jason Donovan.

What a different life to Ramsay Street! So the otherday, she celebrated 20 years in the pop industry, 20 years, I cant beleive, or maybe I dont want to beleive it, cause then I realise what my true age is!

So how better to celebrate it than to show around 600 of her costumes in an exhibition at the V&A Museum. How amazing. Those gold hot pants are just one of the items on display! We all wanted to wear those hotpants didnt we, we just didnt all look quite as good as Kylie.

She turned up wearing a beautiful dress by Dolce & Gabbana in purple chiffon...but we arent interested in the dress.....we want to know about the diamonds that she was wearing.

1 million pounds worth of diamond earrings and necklace, I bet when you wear that, you really feel a million dollars.

Considering her recent split from boyfriend Olivier Martinez and her illness, I think she looks great.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - Getting Married?

So according to more rumours....

One of the next big weddings could be Angelina Jolie and Bradd Pitt. Angelina Jolies Mother unfortunately died, and she really adored Bradd Pitt and said to her daugter..."Marry that Man"

So this year, it is rumoured that they will marry and carry out the her mothers dying wishes. It seems like yesterday when they were just rumoured to be seeing each other after meeting on set of Mr & Mrs Smith or even when he was marrying Jennifer Aniston.

This would be the third wedding for Angelina Jolie. Thats quite alot of engagement rings Angelina! I wonder what she does with the old ones? Maybe she recycles them...being kind the the earth and all that!

So I wonder what sort of ring she would like, as she is normally quite reserved with her jewellery, mainly being seen with Diamond Stud Earrings as in OK Magazine or Diamond Drop Earrings.

Lets wait and see, I think she will go for timeless quality over fancy shmancy but you never know.

Hugh Grant and Jemima Goldsmiths Wedding?

Hugh Grant and Jemima Khan / Goldsmith are the latest couple to talk about.

What is it with Hugh? Hes seems so nice but never really been able to settle down, and we always remember the little episode of what happened a few years ago now...dont we.

But, hes still so likeable, and afterall, he´s human. We all love Hugh Grants films, even though he basically plays exactly the same character in everyone, albeit, About a Boy or Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Sometimes I do wonder if he even has to act.

Jemima Khan is a strange girl, still so young, only just 33 years old and seems to have down so much.

It would be nice to hear the words "engagement ring" and "Hugh Grant and Jemima" followed by a Hugh & Jemima Wedding. Valentines is just around the corner!

Lets wait and see.

Valentines Day - What do you Want?

What would you really like to receive on February 14th?

Does your wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend really know you?

All too often, theres a massive lead up to Valentines Day, long term girlfriends hoping for that proposal, men maybe too, whilst for others like me, its just another day, although I´ve never been one to turn down a pressie or two

What I would really love this Valentines is a pair of diamond stud earrings. I have seen lots of famous people going for these, and you know what....good enough for them, good enough for me!

The 13th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards ceremony was a test case for the impact of the recent public discussion on Hollywood’s A-list celebrities. With Tinsel Town and one of its major studios, Warner Brothers, voicing criticism of the diamond industry, last night it was a display of confidence in the value of diamonds.

Hundreds of carats worth many millions of dollars were seen on the red carpet, as noted celebrities had no qualms being seen with diamonds, leaving the issue to be judged on fashion merits alone. Cate Blanchett was a focal point, donning a rose cut Diamond Indian pendant necklace featuring more than 100 carats of rose-cut Diamonds, along with a pair of 2 carat antique mine cut Diamond stud earrings by Fred Leighton.

Helen Mirren, the night’s winner for ‘Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role’ for her performance in “The Queen”, walked down the red carpet wearing Chopard jewelry, including a 25 carat diamond bracelet, 15 carat diamond hoop earrings, a 29 carat diamond brooch, and an oval diamond watch.

Tiffany & Co Jewellery

When you think Tiffany…what do you think of?

That beautiful bluey green colour.

Tiffany & Co started out in in 1837 selling stationery and fancy goods at a shop in New York City. It was then owned by 2 gentlemen called Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B Young.

Tiffany & Co made the headlines when it introduced “selling prices”…which were non negotiable. Doesnt that sound great...a time when you could haggle for absolutely everything.

The Tiffany website is beautifully done too and you can read all about their history from 1837 right through to present day. Im not really one for history, but its short explanations of what happened through the years, when they opened their first shop in London and when diamond ring settings were introduced and invented by Tiffany, I actually continued to read on! Its quite amazing how much of our diamond jewellery style all originates from Tiffanys Designs.

Tiffany sell almost everything now including, diamond jewellery, watches, gifts, baby items, tableware and more.

Many years ago, I always thought Tiffany was for the very wealthy, but they do have a range that is very affordable. I was lucky enough to be bought 2 items, 1 mesh ring which I absolutely love and a bangle. The look and feel of the packaging really gets you excited, its just so beautiful and thats before you´ve seen whats inside.
