Diamond Geezer On Dragons Den
Did you see the Diamond Geezer on Dragons Den? Congratulations to him for attracting the highest offer ever on the Dragon's den! He was attempting to raise some money to expand his range of jewellery and we know why dont we ladies? Yes! he's been looking through The Diamond Store's gorgeous ranges and wants to sell jewellery like ours! Good luck to him but it's going to be tough even getting close to The Diamond Store's quality and prices!

I was intrigued to see this company on TV last night.
I run an online eBay shop, selling simulated diamonds, ie diamond lookalikes, cubic zironia etc, and have been doing this for around 4 years now. Im currently one of the UK's largest sellers of loose stones, and sales have gone from strength to strength over the 4 years.
Originally, my eBay username was DIAMONDGEEZER_UK but I actually received an email from DiamondGeezer.Com, threatening me with legal action if I didnt change this name. I did this, as 1, it wasnt really an issue what my username was, and also my username is now Handleys_Simulates which Im perfectly happy with, as its personal to me. However, I do wonder if I was actually legally obliged to change my eBay username, since it wasnt reflecting an actual company name, and was indeed only an eBay username, and surely you cant patent one of these?
Anyway, for the finest quality simulated diamonds, pay a visit to www.handleys-simulates.com
Thanks
Yes you were legally obliged to change the name, Diamond Geezer is a European trade mark under class 14 [Jewellery, diamonds and gemstones etc]. The international system exists to protect the investment companies have made and prevent ‘passing off’ like fake Gucci handbags and avoid consumer confusion. Better that you create your own successful brand as you seem to have and consider registering the trade mark to prevent others getting in on your action. It will cost about £1,000 to do it correctly.
