Hotel Babylon Star Tamzin Outhwaite Gives Birth To Baby Girl

Tamzin Outhwaite and (gorgeous!) actor husband Tom Ellis have welcomed their first daughter together. Florence Elsie Ellis arrived last week.

Tamzin has previously said that: 'Having children is my biggest dream. I'd be happy not to work again and look after the children'. Following her previous success in Eastenders and Hotel Babylon, it will be interesting to see if she really does want to be a full time mum and give up her career.

Good luck to you both - it's refreshing to hear someone that values motherhood over fame and fortune. And i love the name.....

Sex & The City - The Film

Last weekend, we arranged a girls-only weekend in Notting Hill. It was a perfect opportunity to go see Sex & The City, the movie - 7 childhood girlfriends (friends for 20 years!), all busy working girls, some with kids and husbands, others single and on the look-out for a man......but united by our friendship that has seen us through the highs and lows of life.

Sex & The City, the TV series, was a programme that we had all identified with, enjoyed immensely, and for which we all still have a special affection. So it was with great excitement that we all tootled (or was that tottered??) down to the cinema on a saturday afternoon.

The first few minutes of the film had me wondering if some things are best left alone. I thought the acting was very wooden, and the actresses seemed unconfortable in their characters. Kirsten Davies seemed to be pulling some very 'over the top' facial expressions! However, i think they maybe needed to warm up, as things did improve (slightly) as the film progressed.

The plot was quite unbelievable in parts, and almost 'cartoon-like'. Unfortunately, the quality of the storyline was nowhere near as good as it was in the old tv series.

However, for all its faults, i couldn't help but enjoy the film, and I also felt quite emotional throughout. I felt emotional for what the show represents for me - the trials and tribulations of being a modern woman, and the value of female friendship. It was also very easy viewing, 'bubblegum for the eyes', with some humourous bits.

I do think that the SATC characters have had their day, so i hope they won't be wheeling everyone out for another movie....please no!! I would like to keep the happy tv memories i have, and continue to occasionally pull out the old dvds and have a girly night in. The tv programmes are something i can watch over and over again, and still enjoy.

Coleen McCloughlin Wedding Ring

After finally tying the knot, pictures have been released of Coleen and Wayne's gorgeous diamond wedding rings.

Apparently, Coleen was involved in the design of the rings, and i have to say that they look great! A lot of thought has gone into the design, which involves a total of three rings for Coleen - the engagement ring, wedding band and a third band, which is wayne's wedding gift to her. Together, the three rings join to look like one stunning ring. Wayne's ring has also been designed to match Coleen's rings.

The white gold rings are encrusted with 18 carat diamonds, and were produced by New York jewellers, Jacob & Co.

Amy Winehouse Has Emphysema

It's such a shame to hear that Amy Winehouse is suffering from the potentially fatal lung disease, emphysema. She is such a talented young woman, with the kind of unique sound that doesn't come along very often.

However, she seems to be hellbent on destroying herself, and it seems that now her time is running out. If she doesn't take some drastic action, she's going to be on a breathing machine and will eventually kill herself.

I really hope she can turn things around, and find the strength to make some major changes in her lifestyle. She's only 24 years old, so has so much life ahead of her.

Matt Lucus separating from Partner Kevin McGee

Its been announced that Matt Lucas, the only gay in the village is separating from his Partner Kevin McGee.

They only got married 18 months ago but they are going their separate ways for some reason.

What a shame!

Today the women discussed Jigolos....Carol and Sherry were so funny both agreeing that to pay for a man to take you out and say nice things was worth it - better than getting stuck doing their washing - whilst the other women just couldnt beleive what they were saying.

Carol is so funny, there must be a man out there for her somewhere.

High Heels Shoes for Babies - Heelarious

On GMTV this morning they had a section about High Heels For Babies. I had heard someone talking about these the other day too.

They are just sooo cute, although if I had them they would just sit on the shelf looking pretty. I didnt even put shoes on my little girl until she started walking.

They are around 35 dollars and a lovely gift and can see people like Paris Hilton definately putting any future babies in them!

Floyds Cardiff - Mary Queen of Shops

If you are reading this post about Floyds Clothes Shop in Cardiff then you probably have just watched Mary Queen of Shops on telly.



What was that man on? He was completely useless and didnt know anything about fashion.



It was great seeing the wife come out of her shell and become really confident. She was great at picking fashion out and taking everything on board.



Mary looked fabulous once again with her wacky huge rings funky tights and shoe/boots.

Blinkz in Ascot - The Fit in Ascot Mary Queen of Shops

One of my favourite programmes has come back to the tv and it couldnt have chosen a better time to start as the Apprentice has finished.

Mary Queen of Shops, this week had a woman who sold clothes for the larger lady in Ascot called Blinkz.

The woman was terrible & rude. Its was as if she thought everyone wanted to be thin like her and that was the normal body. It was cringing. Even Mary was cringing and I though she was going to deck her one!

In the end the woman took on board what Mary said and changed and finally said some nice things to these ladies. She even took Marys advice and changed the name of the shop from Blinkz to The Fit. The shop was done up beautifully and she started stocking Anna Scholz Clothing which went down really well with her new customers.

Lee McQueen Winner of Apprentice - Apprentice Winner Lee Mcqueen

So tonight Lee Mcqueen is the winner of The Apprentice 2008. It was just him and Claire Young left in the boardroom and Lee got Hired.

Tonights show was great and Alex and Helene didnt deserve to get through because they didnt come up with the bottle design, they didnt work as a team and they didnt communicate.

It was great to see some of the old faces like the short blond guy, the 2 Jennys, Raef, Michael & Simon.

The show was great and in the end in the board room both Claire and Lee really went for it - not being bitchy but were really fighting their corner.

Big Brother Wedding Sham!

It's official, they've failed the task! Mario and Stephanie failed to convince the rest of the house that they were a couple, and the housemates guessed who the real couple are - so Mario, Lisa, Luke and Stephanie will be up for eviction this week.

Mario, Lisa and Luke all tried very hard to play by the rules, so i don't think they deserve to be booted out. Stephanie was hopeless, and spent the whole time working against her team, probably thinking at the back of her mind that she's a blonde bombshell, so she won't get voted off.....well, i hope she does!! She's the one who deserves to go.

Abbey Hensel Brittany Hensel - Abigail & Brittney Hensel

Just finished watching Eastenders and switching around channels I came across extraordinary people....2 young girls turning 16 who share a body.

It really is amazing how they get on with their life. Its very funny how they have different styles and one wants to wear pink whilst the other wants to wear blue, one wants to wear loud funky jewellery and the other one doesnt...they have a good sense of humor.

Its the strangest thing to see, and they say the reason they wanted to do the documentary was so people wouldnt stare so much and take photos. What brave girls. It really is something that you just cant help but look at and watch and wonder. Its as if its just one body with 2 faces...if one feels ill does the other one? if one is upset is the other one?

What amazing girls and what an amazing family.

Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLaughlin Wedding

It's been billed as the celebrity wedding of the year, and next week it's finally going to happen! Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin will tie the knot in a lavish ceremony on the Italian Riviera.

The celebrity couple is reportedly splashing out £5 million on the event, most of which will be recouped in related magazine and other media deals.

60 of their closest family and friends are being flown out in 5 private jets to the wedding location on the 10th June. The celebrations will continue until the 14th June, and will include champagne breakfasts every day, a masked ball, a performance by Westlife and an unknown rap star.

Coleen's dress has been designed by British Designer, Georgina Chapman's label, Marchesa. Apparently, Coleen has purposely chosen an A-lister designer rather than the usual WAG designers in an attempt to not look like a meringue! The dress is rumoured to have cost a cool £200k, on top of designer wedding rings costing £100k.

Coleen, a catholic, is even flying out her local Croxteth priest to carry out the blessing.

Wayne leaves today for his stag party, together with 25 friends, being held at a villa in Ibiza. Coleen has had two hen celebrations already, and is off on a third to the Canary Islands. Let's hope that Wayne can keep himself under control for the next few days!!

I can’t wait to see the wedding pictures! There have even been rumours that Coleen wants to ration the alcohol available to certain Rooney family members, so they don’t make a fool of themselves in front of the magazine photographers at the events!

The Apprentice Final

So it had to change and it has. The Apprentice....Helene Speight, Alex Wotherspoon, Lee Mcqueen & Clare Young are all in the final. Sir Alan let Lucinda go. Lucinda looked surprisingly alot younger tonight and prettier. Its a shame that she had to leave on her own, I dont think she was right, but I hated seeing Claires smerk on her face as Lucinda had to leave.

Karren Brady was Sir Alans new interviewer and she was good. She wore a lovely Cream Dress in the Interviews. In the board room she had a huge Diamond Cross Necklace

Personally, I dont think much of the final 4. Previous Apprentices have been far better. Ruth "Badger" is in another league compared to these guys.

Who remembered What Not to Wear

I was so looking forward to seeing Who Remembered What Not to Wear but...its such cheap TV as the whole programme is a repeat of the original with just a little new bit at the end. I hate wasting time watching repeats.

Lisa Butchers hair has gone a little wild...I think better when it was shorter...it looked more of a wild mullet. I forgot how harsh Mica can be...infact both of them are pretty tough on people...more than Trinny & Suzanna

Michael Parkinson gets his Knighthood

The wonderful Michael Parkinson today received his Knighthood. If you wish to watch it you can do so here. Unfortunately we cant hear what The Queen is saying. Michael is 72 years old which is just unbeleivable.

Its such a shame that he retired from the Parkinson Show which really was one of the best chat shows ever.

The Queen looked wonderful as always in a greeny colour dress. Not much jewellery, just a watch, 1 ring, small studd earrings and what looks like a pearl necklace.

Becky & Jason in Corrie

Ah poor Becky...she has fallen totally in love with Jason but he doesnt feel the same. I doubt we will be seeing an Engagement Ring!

Becky just wants to be with Jason the whole time and even told him she loved him...but now Jason is backing off. Although, he is a bit weak so maybe the relationship will carry on just because he cant say anything. Maybe hes realised that he loves Sarah and that Sarah is the one he wants to be with.

I find it amazing how characters change. When Becky first entered in "The Street", she was a horrible nasty person and now, we love her. Shes got a fab character and very funny.

We saw Katherine Kelly who plays Becky on telly the other day as herself for the first time ever and she was completely different....thats when you realise what great actors and actresses we have in the UK.

Trinny and Suzanna Naked

Have British People changed or have we always been like that....

Im talking about getting naked with Trinny and Suzanna. I feel like an old prude. I was sitting there watching the programme and my husband kept saying look at your face! My jaw was on the ground. I couldnt belive these people were getting naked in the room talking about their bodies and even putting cameras on their very very private parts.

There were some real strange people, different people, and then just people that wanted to be abit extravagent.

Its fab that people can be so confident about themselves. Including Trinny and Suzanna.

Them 2 are mad, completely mad and suzanna still loves grabbing onto other womens boobies doesnt she.

Great show.

All about Lucinda Ledgerwood - The Apprentice

Last night was a programme about the final five Apprentices with Alan Sugar. I couldnt stay awake to watch the end of it but did see all about Alex and Lucinda.

Everyone must be wanting to know more about Lucinda Ledgerwood s life including The Diamond Chicks. She said last night that she has no contact with her family for a reason that she would rather not go into. That makes it all the more interesting.

All we know at the moment is that she was born in Singapore to an upper working class family.
She is 31 years old and is a Risk Manager. She also earns the most amount of money above all the other apprentices in the Final. She has numerous qualifications and is also studying at the moment at in Aromatherapy / Herbal Medicine at Napier University in the spare time that she has, but she also has a degree and a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Her very first job was working at Tescos as a check out girl and apparently....she turned down the job roll fo body double for a bond girl???

As team leader, Lucinda is very very good. Calm and sees peoples strengths and weaknesses and places them in the right position. The editing of the programme shows that she always has a problem taking orders from others. If this is the case the Sir Alan wont choose her.

We will find out how strong she is after the gruelling interviews!
