Charlotte Church loses engagement ring down plug hole

Newly engaged Charlotte Church reportedly dropped her diamond engagement ring down the plug hole at her home in Wales.

The “Over The Rainbow” judge announced her wedding plans with Gavin Henson earlier this month and lost the heart-shaped diamond ring while washing her hands.

But the situation was quickly rescued by a plumber who within minutes managed to find the ring trapped in the U-bend.

Apparently Charlotte was hugely relieved as the couple are rumoured to be holding their wedding on the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas in July and losing her engagement ring  would not bode well.

Will Prince William finally present Kate Middleton with a Diamond Engagement Ring?

Kate Middleton and Prince William have now been dating for seven years and Royal wedding speculation is reaching crescendo pitch after claims that Buckingham Palace has "cleared its diary" for a June engagement announcement. So will Prince William finally be splashing out on a diamond engagement ring for her.

Rumour has it that aides plan to make the announcement on either June 3rd or 4th that a wedding will take place in November. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip also had a November wedding at Westminster in 1947. And a winter wedding would avoid comparisons with the February engagement and July wedding of William's parents.

St George's Chapel at Windsor is a possible venue as it has hosted several royal weddings of late, including Prince Charles's marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles

Oscars curse on marriages of award winning actresses

With Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes becoming the latest Hollywood marriage casualty it seems that a pattern is emerging that a love split seems to follow on from winning an Oscar and naming partners in the thank you speech.

Kate Winslet and Same Mendes married in 2003 in an impromptu ceremony in the Caribbean. It was so unplanned that she didn’t have the time to buy her husband a wedding ring but Mendes managed to place a very large diamond ring on her finger

When Kate Winslet won her Best Actress Oscar in 2009 for The Reader, she gushed about Sam Mendes: “I'm so lucky to have a wonderful husband and two beautiful children who let me do what I love and who love me just the way that I am.” And now just over a year later she has announced her split from the Oscar-winning director.

And there are a number of actresses who are casualties of winning Academy Awards:

Hilary Swank won best actress in 2005 for her role in Million Dollar Baby and in her speech mentioned her husband “'I am going to start by thanking my husband. Chad, you're my everything.” She married Chad Lowe (brother of Rob) in 1997, but in less than a year she had left him and started dating her agent,

Halle Berry made her name as super-heroine Storm in X-Men and married R & B singer Eric Benet after a whirlwind romance in 2001. She won best actress in 2002 saying “Thank you, my husband, who is just a joy of my life.” The couple split in 2003 following stories of Eric's serial adultery. Halle is now with toyboy supermodel boyfriend Gabriel Aubry who romantically gave her his grandmother’s diamond engagement ring after the birth of their daughter.

Reese Witherspoon has had s series of successful movies over the years including Legally Blond. She married the lesser known actor Ryan Philippe in 1999 and they had two children. He proposed to Reese in December 1998 giving her a very rare early Neil Lane, four-carat Asscher cut diamond platinum engagement ring. She won best Actress in 2006 for the Johnny Cash movie Walk the Line saying “I want to say thank you to my wonderful husband and my two children, who should be going to bed. Thank you for loving me so much and supporting me.” It turns out they had been receiving marriage guidance counselling since 2002 and finally separated at the end of 2006. They divorced in 2008 following his alleged affair with actress Abbie Cornish while Reese found comfort with Jake Gyllenhaal.

Kim Basinger is a beautiful ex-model who has appeared in a number of popular films. Her second husband was actor Alec Baldwin with whom she had a daughter. She won best Supporting Actress in 1998 for LA Confidential saying “Wow. Thanks to my husband Alec” and then divorced him in 2001 because of his bad temper and famously sold her 3.7 carat diamond engagement ring.

Emma Thompson is a well loved British actress who has also written a number of successful films. She married actor Kenneth Branagh in 1989 and made Henry V and The Fortunes of War with him. She won best actress in 1993 for Howard’s End and the couple split in 1995. He soon began dating Helena Bonham Carter and she met and subsequently married actor Greg Wise.

Geena Davis made her name in The Fly where she met husband number two Jeff Goldblum. They got married in 1987 and she won best supporting actress in 1989 giving thanks to “my other wonderful acting coach and darling husband Jeff Goldblum”. They had split by the end of the year and Geena went off with director Renny Hartlin.

Helen Hunt married actor Hank Azaria, whom she met in 1994. She won best Actress in 1998 for As Good As It Gets saying “Thank you to just the very best man I know”. They married in 1998 but it lasted less than a year.

Angelina Jolie is the daughter of Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight who married eccentric actor/musician Billy Bob Thornton and carried his blood in a locket. She won best Supporting Actress in 2000 for Girl, Interrupted and gushed “It's a real deep connection.” Not deep enough it seems, as by 2005 Bill Bob was long gone and she was famously involved with Brad Pitt. The couple famously support number of good causes and recently endorsed a ban on blood diamonds from Zimbabwe. It was after the BAFTA awards in 2009 that she left a pair of $1.6 million diamond earrings in her suite at London's Dorchester Hotel when she left to return to the USA.

Heidi Range shows off her fabulous diamond engagement ring

Sugababes member Heidi Range couldn't resist flashing her stunning diamond engagement ring as the group performed on “One's Your Country Needs You!” BBC's competition to find this year's British Eurovision Song Contest representative which was hosted by Graham Norton on Saturday night.

Apparently she cannot wait to get married after her recent engagement to TV presenter Dave Berry – and who can blame her as he’s gorgeous. And romantic too: Dave proposed to Heidi on New Year's Eve while on holiday in India.

The couple have been together for six years and are said to be considering a winter wedding, but are yet to decide on a venue.

Heidi admitted that she encouraged him to propose after hearing Beyoncé's 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' on the radio.

The new sport of looking for cracks in celebrity marriages

With the media obsessed with serial adulterers and celebrity marriage breakdowns I can’t help but feel that it’s making us feel that all relationships are doomed

The most recent bunch started with Tiger Woods and his multi-infidelities, then came the news of John Terry’s affair, Ashley Cole’s text flashing, Madonna splitting with Jesus, Vernon Kaye’s sexy texts and the interminable stories of Katie Price, Alex Reid and Peter Andre. And this has all happened over the past few weeks!

I must admit I sometimes enjoy reading the latest gossip about the overpaid and over privileged celebrity relationships, but recently things have changed and it feels more like the press are chasing misery for the sake of it. Unfortunately too many celebrities seem to treat marriage like children treat computer games: they keep on until they get them, play them incessantly and then move on to the latest release with more effects.

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie have just started filming The Tourist and already rumours are circulating that his 12 year relationship with Vanessa Paradis is under threat. Good news it that Simon Cowell has allegedly presented Mezhgan Hussainy with a diamond engagement ring, and Russell Brand has popped the question to Katy Perry but the question is being asked “how long will they last?” Somewhere along the line the words “Let’s hope it works out” have shifted to “There is no way it will last, and we’re going to read the gossip magazines to watch it falling apart”.

Try and remember that romance will only die if you let it. Show your love to someone by presenting them with a diamond eternity ring, or ask them to marry you with a diamond solitaire engagement ring. I keep using the word “diamond” because they are synonymous with the words “diamonds are forever” and are one way we might be able knock all this negativity into touch!

Fabulous Diamond Jewellery Worn at the Oscars

With the Oscars coming up this weekend it is always fascinating to see what the latest jewellery and fashion trends are with the over-pampered stars that walk down the red carpet. Apart from spending weeks preparing for the event with beauty treatments, hair design and dress fittings, the accessories are also a vital part of their overall appearance.

With Harry Winston loaning diamonds to the most famous or Oscar nominated actors, any designer who can get their wares showcased at this event is sure to get some publicity – good or bad.

Obviously it’s not great if your name is linked with the worst dressed stars, but the best and worst dressed list always attracts global coverage and with the number of viewers this ceremony attracts they really do get worldwide exposure. Photos taken on the red carpet, at the ceremony and post Oscar parties circulate for years. And remember that no publicity is bad publicity!

Many celebrities could afford to buy the jewellery and fashions they wear to the Oscars, but they don't have to as jewellery designers and dealers allow them to choose what they would like to wear from their latest catalogue. Many of the designers work with a number of celebrities and must be careful not to duplicate an item.

Apart from Harry Winston, Michael Katz is a Beverly Hills jewellery designer and dealer who has the reputation of being able to intuitively match people with jewels, and another is New Yorker Fred Leighton who also supplies rings for the right hands of the Sex In the City ladies.

If a celebrity trend looks hot enough then jewellery companies will rush to produce look-alike versions of the piece. The Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez diamond engagement ring being a classic example with a number of companies flooding the market with cheaper copies.

Along with the top-end loaned diamonds comes a personal security guard, with Joan Rivers telling the story of when the lights went out unexpectedly at a post-Oscar party her guard immediately grabbed her elbow and steered her straight out the back door.

I’ll certainly be watching the ceremony for as long as I can stay awake for this weekend so see if I can spot the celebrity wearing the biggest piece of diamond jewellery or the one who has had the most botox treatment.

How Celebrities Say It With Diamonds

If you want to know how the other half live I have put together some facts on what celebrities expect when they get engaged:

1. When Catherine Zeta Jones got engaged to Michael Douglas he bought her a stunning 10 carat antique marquise diamond ring worth $2 million to mark the occasion. (Incidentally the marquise diamond cut got it's name as it is said to resemble the shape of the mouth of a smiling marquise).
2. Joan Collins was given a 19th century heart-shaped diamond ring by Percy Gibson (who is now her husband).
3. Paris Hilton had two engagement rings when she was engaged to billionaire Paris Latsis: a canary 24 carat diamond ring worth $5 million and a 15 carat white emerald-cut diamond ring worth $2.1 million. Wonder if she gave them back when they split up?
4. Britney Spears also has two engagement rings: a 4 carat cushion-cut carat diamond ring worth $40,000 which she bought herself before her wedding to Kevin Federline and another that her now ex-husband gave her after they had been married for nine months.
5. Madonna received a three-stone antique Edwardian diamond ring with a decorative platinum band from Guy Ritchie. A three stone engagement ring is said to represent the past, present and future, so I would imagine she would rather not know what’s coming when she next hooks up with someone!
6. Beyonce’s 18 carat diamond wedding ring has a £2.5m price tag. Jay-Z ignored the more traditional plain gold band and instead chose a fabulous diamond.
7. Although Elvis fanatic Vernon Kay is certainly in trouble with his wife Tess Daly for sending those sexy text messages, when it was their wedding anniversary she took a bad fake copy of a horseshoe pinkie ring which Vernon had purchased at Graceland’s and got a Hatton Garden jeweller to create a white gold version with diamonds.

Hollywood’s King of Diamonds

Have you ever wondered how celebrities can afford the fabulous diamond jewellery they wear on the red carpet when they attend major award ceremonies like the Oscars, Batas or Academy Awards? Well most of it is down to one man – Harry Winston – who has his main shop on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and loans over $200 million worth of diamonds, ruby and sapphire jewellery to actresses who want to be noticed.

The arrangement benefits the star who gets to wear the finest diamond jewellery for free and the jeweller who gets some very high profile free publicity.

He's been doing this since 1943, when he first supplied Jennifer Jones with her Oscar gems. In 1999 he loaned the Oscar’s host Whoopi Goldberg $41 million dollars worth of jewels (the most ever worn by one person at the ceremony) including a single diamond ring worth $15 million. Also in 1999, Best Actress winner Gwyneth Paltrow and presenter Jennifer Lopez wore jewels by the House of Winston.

He also loans to the film set. When Kate Hudson appeared in “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" with Matthew McConaghey, she was wearing an 87 carat diamond pendant created especially for her by Harry Winston.

When Ben Affleck bought Jennifer Lopez her huge pink diamond engagement ring, he bought it at Harry Winston for over a million dollars.

But things do not always work out for him: in 2001 he designed a diamond necklace called "au Chocolat", made of white diamonds in a leaf motif with nine huge chocolate brown diamonds and 18 canary-yellow ones. He hoped that Juliette Binoche (of "Chocolat" fame) would wear it, but she turned up in a string of pearls.

When Winston loaned Sharon Stone a $400,000 necklace to wear to the Oscars she claimed it was a gift and refused to return it, suing him for $12 million, claiming breach of contract.

Known as "The King of Diamonds," Harry Winston has also made a name for acquiring large stones, including the enormous 337 carat Catherine the Great sapphire which Richard Burton presented to Elizabeth Taylor, the 95 carat Star of the East, and the legendary 46 carat Hope Diamond which featured in the film Titanic and which he subsequently donated to the Smithsonian Institution.

There are other jewellers who lend jewellery to the stars for the Academy Awards including Van Cleef & Arpels (located on the same block of Rodeo Drive), but it is Harry Winston who usually manages to steal the spotlight on the news on Oscar Night.

EastEnders cast don’t even know who killed Archie!

The cast of EastEnders is being kept in the dark along with the viewing public over who killed Archie Mitchell. The BBC revealed today that the actor or actress at the centre of the cliff hanger will not be told it is them until minutes before or even halfway through tonight’s live episode.

The live show is to celebrate the soap's 25th anniversary, and a spokeswoman revealed that the cast have been rehearsing about 10 different endings. Despite having already recorded next week's episodes, they are still in the dark due to carefully written scripts.

Tonight’s episode will kick off with the aftermath of Bianca Jackson and Ricky Butcher's wedding and more about who framed Janine by planting the missing engagement ring in her flat.
Bookies' up and down the country have been taking bets since the Christmas Day episode and expect more than £1million to be placed in bets.

With so many suspects to choose from I’ve no idea who’s guilty!

Simon Cowell’s new girlfriend shows off her diamond ring

Not so long ago Simon Cowell was adamant he would never marry but now it seems that he may well have proposed to his new girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy, after she showed off a huge diamond ring on her engagement finger following a romantic Valentine’s dinner at Mr Chow's restaurant in Knightsbridge.

The ring is a real sparkler and her presents also included a diamond bracelet believed to be worth £275,000, but as Cowell is worth £123million he can afford generous romantic gestures.Afghan-born Mezhgan showed off the ring when she placed her hand over Simon's as they made their way back to his West London mansion after their meal.

During a taping of the ITV1 show, Life Stories, with his fellow Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, Simon Cowell gushed about his new love but refused to confirm engagement rumours. But for the first time he did suggest he would like to have children saying “I think I need to have little Simons around”.

He and Hussainy stepped out publicly together for the first time earlier this month, after six months of secrecy. She is a make-up artist who he met on the set of American Idol in 2003.

Is a Diamond Engagement Ring Forever? Who Gets the Ring When the Relationship Ends

by Gary Ingram

Getting engaged is one of the highlights of most people´s lives. It is the point at which lovers have recognised a desire to spend eternity together and want the rest of the world to see their shared devotion and partnership. Unfortunately, for one reason or another this love can sour. Not only do 1 in 3 marriages result in divorce but many people are not even able to stay enamoured long enough to make it through the wedding.

In these circumstances, ownership of the ring is probably the last thought on either parties mind. At some point further down the line though when the dust has settled the subject may well come up. If the split has not been done amicably then it can in fact end up being a serious bone of contention. However, in the UK at least, despite the emotions tied up in the process, the law on who owns the diamond engagement rings is clear.

The woman is allowed to keep the ring as by law it is considered an absolute gift which means it has become her property and therefore remains so. It is hers to do with as she likes, even have a diamond engagement ring sale if she chooses! The only exception to this rule is if the ring has been given under the condition of marriage. This means that at the point of exchange the man has made it either implicitly or explicitly clear that the ring is only hers to keep should the wedding take place, a decision which was found in the case of Jacobs v David (1917).

This tradition of keeping the ring originally equated to a symbol of financial compensation, rather then any romantic notion. Before the 1930's it was common practice for women to be able to sue for "Breach of Promise" if the wedding did not take place after a betrothal. This was because women were still expected to be pure at the time of marriage. However many would indulge in sexual relations during the engagement period because it was considered safe. If a man then backed out of the marriage, the woman could be perceived as "damaged goods" and it was for this reason that financial retribution was sought.

After this period, judges started to phase out this ruling so women looked for something else to prove that the commitment was real. This is when the craze for diamond solitaire engagement ring really started to take off as it was considered a worthy substitute. Fortunately nowadays as the roles of men and women have become more equalised the ring is able to regain much of its original status as a romantic symbol.

For couples looking today the best place for them to go to see a wide variety of rings is the Internet. Here they can find a range of different engagement rings and diamond engagement settings at prices up to 60 percent of those on the high street.

Celebrity Marriage Proposals

A marriage proposal should be one of the most romantic and memorable moments of your life, so how do the celebrities do it, given their deep pockets and intense media scrutiny?

British singer Seal rates highly in the romance ratings, following his spectacular proposal to supermodel Heidi Klum. He chose the day before Christmas Eve to take Ms Klum on a helicopter ride to the top of a 14,000 ft glacier. He then took her to a specially created igloo, where he made his proposal. Heidi Klum is quoted as saying that it was a “once-in-a-lifetime event”, and was clearly delighted with her impressive 10 carat cushion-cut diamond engagement ring.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had been dating for just two months when Tom chose the famously romantic city of Paris to make his proposal. After a candlelit dinner for two at the Le Jules Verne restaurant, he proposed at the top of the Eiffel Tower. The location is a bit of a cliché though, and the whole TomKat union was always a bit of an odd one, not least after all the strange rumours surrounding their scientology wedding and the birth of their daughter Suri.

Christina Aguilera’s fiancé, Jordan Bratman, filled a room with balloons, flowers and boxed gifts, with each gift accompanied by a poem he’d written. The last gift contained an impressive five carat diamond and platinum engagement ring. This is a simple and personal proposal, which shows Jordan’s heart is in the right place.

The British are renowned for their deep sense of tradition, as demonstrated by British actor, John Light, when he proposed to Neve Campbell. He got down on one knee and recited Shakespeare before presenting the ring.

A Florida beach was the setting chosen by David Arquette to propose to Courtney Cox. He arranged for an impressive fireworks display to start at the moment he proposed, providing a stunning backdrop to the event.

On the eve of the new millennium, Michael Douglas hosted a party at his Aspen home, where he proposed to his then two months pregnant fiancée, Catherine Zeta Jones. He chose a beautiful antique 10 carat marquise-cut diamond ring, estimated to be worth over a million dollars. Given the circumstances, one can presume he felt confident she would say yes!

Denzel Washington may be a Hollywood Oscar winner, but if there were Oscars for romance, he’d definitely be going home empty handed. He proposed to his wife over the phone whilst on location filming a TV series! The couple married in 1983 and went on to have four children. They renewed their wedding vows in 1995, in a ceremony presided over by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, proving that the most enduring marriages can spring from the least romantic starts.

It seems that while some celebrity proposals require a deep wallet, many are simply the result of a bit of effort and imagination, and could be within the reach of anyone. Of course, a big sparkling rock on your finger helps, but at the end of the day it’s the sentiment that really counts.

Engagement Ring Found After Magpie Steals It And Buries It In Nest For Three Years!

A platinum diamond engagement ring has been found in a Magpie's nest at the bottom of the garden, three years after it disappeared.

Julie Boaler was taking a shower when the £5,000 pear shaped diamond ring went missing, and explained: "I left it on the bathroom window ledge when i had a shower and it wasn't there when i returned."

"I thought it must have fallen in the bathroom or even fell out of the window but it was a complete mystery.

"I was heartbroken .... and Justin was not best pleased either".

The couple searched high and low, even ripping up the lino of the bathroom floor, but in the end had to give up the search.

Three years on, the couple were tidying up the garden in preparation for moving house, when the magpie nest was found.

The couple are still engaged, with plans to marry soon. They have now insured the ring!

Who Keeps The Engagement Ring When The Relationship Breaks?

I seem to be hearing lots of debate at the moment about what should happen to engagement rings when a relationship breaks up. Should the wearer keep the ring, or should it be returned to the person who paid for it?

Some say that an engagement ring is an unconditional gift, and that a woman is not obliged to return it if the engagement is broken. It is like any other gift, which once given belongs to the person who has received it - no matter how much it cost, or how upset the person who paid for it is!

However, there are those that believe an engagement ring is not like any other gift, but is actually conditional upon the marriage of the two partners. Therefore, if the marriage doesn't take place, the ring should be returned to the person who gave and paid for it.

In the US, the law regarding this subject varies between states. Some, such as New York, treat the engagement ring as a conditional gift, whereas others, such as Montana, believe a gift is a gift, and it's tough luck if the relationship doesn't work out!

There are those that believe that the person who calls off the engagement is the one who forfeits any right to the engagement ring. However, this is getting into murky territory as relationship break-ups are never straight forward in terms of blame and responsibility, so the person who actually calls off the engagement may not necessarily be the person responsible for the break up in terms of their behaviour.

I personally think that there is no black and white answer to the question of who should keep the engagement ring. What may be right for one couple, will not be for another. For example, in the case of one party behaving very badly, such as having an affair or affairs, i think they should forfeit any right to the ring, and the innocent party should at least benefit in some way from either selling the ring or having the satisfaction of throwing it into the sea! In a 'friendly' break up situation, the ring wearer may decide it is fair to return the ring, or the two of them may decide to sell it and give the money to charity, for example.

If a woman has behaved badly towards her partner, and insists on keeping the ring for either financial reasons or simply because she likes the piece of jewellery, then this, i believe, is unforgivable. She should return the ring!

Never Too Posh To Pawn!

Aparently, upmarket pawnbrokers are seeing a massive increase in the number of wealthy individuals pawning jewellery and other valuables.

Diamond rings, watches and other jewellery items are popular choices, with even diamond engagement rings being temporarily pawned in the hope that they can be retrieved when finances are more free flowing.

The credit crunch is clearly affecting people at every level. For many, the current climate means making changes to the way they shop, buying cheaper food brands and looking at ways to pull in the purse strings on their day to day living expenditure. However, among the wealthier sets, it is the luxury items that are hit. It may be that they can't quite find the deposit for that holiday villa, or they're struggling to pay the private school fees. And with banks more reluctant to offer credit, the pawnshop is becoming the best place to secure credit, and with no form filling and waiting around for bank approval.

Elle Macpherson Must Be Feeling Bad

The news that multi-millionnaire Arpad Busson has become engaged to Uma Thurman must have been a painful thing for Elle Macpherson to hear.

Elle devoted nine years of her life to the wealthy hedge-funder, and had two children with him, but he never asked her to marry him. The generally accepted excuse was that his strong catholic faith forbade him marrying a divorcee. Yet here he is, engaged to a twice divorced agnostic, whose father was the first westerner to be ordained a Buddhist priest!

And it's not as if they're being very discreet about the news. They've been celebrating in style with a celebrity studded party at their Kensington home, which must really be rubbing Elle's nose in it.
Well, he may have been tactless about his recent engagement, but he certainly has got style when it comes to choosing engagement rings. Uma is wearing a divine 8 carat diamond ring that really does make a statement.

Coleen McCloughlin Wedding Ring

After finally tying the knot, pictures have been released of Coleen and Wayne's gorgeous diamond wedding rings.

Apparently, Coleen was involved in the design of the rings, and i have to say that they look great! A lot of thought has gone into the design, which involves a total of three rings for Coleen - the engagement ring, wedding band and a third band, which is wayne's wedding gift to her. Together, the three rings join to look like one stunning ring. Wayne's ring has also been designed to match Coleen's rings.

The white gold rings are encrusted with 18 carat diamonds, and were produced by New York jewellers, Jacob & Co.

Can Billy Zane Win Back Kelly Brook?

It looks like Billy Zane is pulling out all the stops in an attempt to win back Kelly Brook, after she recently called off their engagement and declared that she didn't think he was the right man for her to marry.
Billy was spotted buying red roses and chocolates before taking Kelly out for a romantic dinner in London.......but i think he could have been a bit more creative!! Roses and chocolates are hardly very original.......

Kelly is still not wearing her diamond engagement ring, so it looks like he might have to try a bit harder to win her back!

Mariah Carey has been spotted wearing a gorgeous (and enormous) diamond ring on her wedding finger, sparking rumours that she's engaged to current boyfriend, Nick Cannon.
Neither Mariah nor Nick's PR reps have confirmed the rumours, so we'll just have to wait and see if this is an engagement ring, or whether Mariah has simply decided to treat herself to a bit of bling!
Either way, it's a stunning piece of jewellery to show off.

Kelly Brook & Billy Zane Split

Apparently Kelly Brook and Billy Zane have split. Whilst Kelly Brook was in Come Dancing her dad died and this affected her really badly as you can imagine and she couldnt carry on with the programme.

Kelly and Billy have been together for quite a while and I always found them a bit of a strange couple but they seemed to have a good relationship. Billy was very jealous of Kelly whilst she danced with Brendan on Come Dancing.

Kelly was seen at some awards the other night not wearing her Engagement Ring and thats when the rumours started.

Minnie Driver Baby's Father Named

The cat is finally out of the bag! Media reports are naming Craig Zolezzi as the father of Minnie Driver's baby.

Craig is a San Francisco musician, but doesn't seem to have a very public profile - until now......no doubt he'll be hounded by the media for a while as the news spreads.

Minnie was originally a Jazz singer before becoming better known as an actress, and then dating some famous actors including Matt Damon and Barbra Streisand's stepson, Josh Brolin. Recently she's been concentrating on her music career and trying to establish herself as a serious singer / songwriter.

Will Craig be making an honest woman of her, and getting a diamond engagement ring on her finger??

Carlas Engagement Ring Coronation Street

So Tony (the nutter) has asked Carla to marry him over dinner with Liam, Maria, Michelle and Steve.

He brought out a big diamond engagement ring and popped the question. She said YES!

OMG he is a complete nutter and have said so all along...could the story turn into another Gale storyline with the murderer for a boyfriend.

Then you have Gale lying in hospital because of her nutcase son David.

When is there going to be something good? Its all so depressing.
