New AnchorCert Diamond Report Grade

A new diamond grading report has been launched by the Gemological division of the Birmingham Assay Office (which also has an office in Hatton Garden). The new report will incorporate the recently launched "Cut Grade" for loose brilliant (round) diamonds.
The growing demand for expert third party certification is being driven by a more savvy consumer who, thanks mainly to the internet, has a wealth of information at his/her fingertips. Consumers now expect more information about the diamond they are about to part hard earned cash for. Internet shopping makes comparisons easy, but many online retailers are hiding behind "their opinion" of the grade of diamond. To a great extent, grading a diamond is an art and thus differing opinions will exist. Third party certification by recognised diamond experts give the consumer greater confidence of the true characteristics of the diamond they are comparing/purchasing.
The report is available for all the main shapes of diamonds and includes graphical diagrams of the stone being graded. Launched February 2006 - Ask your trusted diamond jeweller of choice for more details.
