If you have a man to buy for this Christmas and he’s one of those difficult males who has everything, and what he doesn’t have he goes out and buys, then a pair of diamond cufflinks could be your answer!

Diamond cufflinks are the sort of present that most men would like to own but might find it hard to justify spending money on pieces of jewellery that might well spend most of their life hidden by a jacket sleeve.

You can but diamond cufflinks in all sorts of shapes and styles.  They can be classic and understated or sparkly and more noticeable for evening wear for the more extrovert male.

Traditionally a woman was the one to wear a wedding band, but things have changed over time and now more men than ever are wearing them. From simple white or yellow gold to the more durable palladium or platinum metal, men’s wedding bands now come in a range of designs.  With wedding rings with diamonds being the most stylish and in demand at the moment.

If your fiancé is very masculine, dresses well and is successful then a wedding ring with diamonds will add to his alpha male look.

If your man doesn’t like any sort of bling, goes about his business steadily, and doesn’t like to call attention to himself then choose a ring with just a hint of diamonds like the palladium and diamond one in the picture.

Because men’s wedding rings are typically wider than those for women you can also get the inside engraved with an expression of your love for him, or the date of your wedding so that he has no excuse to forget your anniversary!

The engagement ring is often regarded as the most important symbol of commitment during the course of courtship and marriage, but it is really the wedding band which represents the strength of a partnership that is about to be sanctified in marriage.

Often both parties opt to wear wedding bands (sometimes matching) and it is customary to kiss the bride when the ring has been placed on her finger at the end of the wedding ceremony, making it the strongest symbol of commitment.

Bear in mind that the wedding ring is usually kept on the finger at all times, whereas an engagement ring is not always worn.  For this reason make sure that you choose a ring with a durable mount (platinum and palladium being the most hard wearing).  If it has a diamond setting then pave, bezel or channel set stones are the most secure and unlikely to become loose and get lost.

In the hope that I will get married one day I often daydream about having a beautiful wedding and how I want it to be, and this includes the type of engagement and wedding rings I want to wear.

I have managed to narrow down my engagement ring preferences to two options:

The classic solitaire may seem rather plain to some people, but there is just something incredibly pure and romantic about a single diamond with a claw setting which allows the light to pass right through it to give the most amazing sparkle.

I love the pave side diamond solitaire (like the one pictured) although initially I was concerned that an engagement ring with more than one diamond could look gaudy. Pave side solitaire engagement rings really give some “oomph” to a standard solitaire.

Just need to find a man now who to proposed and buy me the ring!
