Over the last few months we have been trailing a new customer feedback system with Feefo and I must say we have been very impressed.

It actually does several things but ultimately it’s all about making things better for the customer.

The first and most important feature is that it allows customers to tell us what they really thought of our products and our service.

Whilst this can be quite daunting we have found a couple of customers who had a small problem but didn’t tell us until prompted…this of course meant we were able to put things right for them….brilliant!

Here is a great example of this in action…(Feefo diamond store review)

Secondly, it gives us an opportunity to make sure we are doing things right and we get the odd pointer which makes us look at a process or product, again making things better in the long run!

Here is a great example of that… (feefo customer idea – The Diamond Store)

All in all we are loving the new feedback system and it is definitely keeping the team on their toes!

I was just looking through the jewellery we have sold over the last 6 weeks and was pleasently surprised to see that Rubies were selling well.

OK, fair enough Ruby is the birthstone for Cancer (June 21st – July 22nd) but with such a fuss about the royal engagement ring I thought that rubies were going to get completely over shadowed this year by Sapphires.

However, things have held up well over the last 6 weeks and we have sold a lot more rubies this year than for the same time last year, thats for sure.

Rings are by far and away te most popular gift, followed by earrings and pendants.

Here is a link this summers best selling ruby ring and our most popular ruby earrings.  Here is a link to my favourite ruby ring, such a beautiful centre ruby that is perfectly complimented by stunning, sparkling diamonds….

We sell ruby jewellery from a little as £59.00 and here are some direct links into the most popular “ruby” pages on The Diamond Store…if you’re too late for a Cancerian birthday then this could be an easy Christmas idea.

Gemstone Eternity Rings

THESE RINGS CAN NOW BE VIEWED BY CLICKING HERE

We have always been proud of the extensive range of Diamond Eternity Rings that we offer, in total there are currently something like 600 combinations if you look at the different diamond qualities, white gold, yellow gold, full band / half band variations etc.

That’s not to mention the fact that each ring can be made in anyone of 40 different finger sizes….wow I am exhausted just typing this…..

Anyway, one of the questions we were getting asked a lot was whether we could modify the rings by adding different gemstones etc.

Well, we listened and something we have been working hard on is a range of new gemstone full and half band eternity rings (like the ring in this image!).

This always takes longer than I want but we should be ready to offer these rings in the next couple of months…all the main gemstones will be on offer, Ruby, Emerald, Tanzanites & Sapphires etc

Watch this space….

new engagement rings

Exciting news, we are working on a brand new additional range of engagement rings, hopefully all the moulds, settings and designs will be finalized in the next month or so.

We are really keen on adding some classic solitaire rings with diamond shoulders, vey, very similar to the photograph on the left.

We are also hoping to be able to offer the rings with all the diamond shapes (square, marquise, pear, etc) and of course to keep the prices as keen as possible whilst providing our usual fully certified diamond solitaire for the centre piece.

A work in progress but this range will be a welcome addition to The Diamond Store family!

WHAT IS A HALLMARK?

Hallmarking is in essence a stamp proving what you have paid for is as described.

Hallmarking is carried out at various Assay Offices throughout the country and is a legal requirement.

Every piece of jewellery that we sell will be Hallmarked, you can find the small hallmark on the inside (non noticeable) areas of the jewellery you purchase from us.

THE THREE MOST COMMON HALLMARKS IN OUR JEWELLERY…

Hallmark – 375

This is for 9K gold jewellery and equates to the gold being 37.5% pure (62.5% alloys)

Hallmark – 750

This is for 18K gold jewellery and equates to the gold being 75% pure (25% alloys)

Hallmark – 950

This is for platinum and equates to the Platinum being 95% pure (5% alloys)

THE GREAT THING ABOUT UK HALLMARKS….

UK hallmarks are recognised throughout the world as guarantee of quality, its an ancient requirement that started way back in the 1300s and is still a legal requirement today.

For customers the great thing about hallmarks is that they are what they say….there are not different levels of 18K gold or Platinum, it is what it is hallmarked.

What happens if you cant see or find the hallmark?

Hallmarks can sometimes be faint or become faint through wear, dont worry, it doesnt mean your gold is worthless, testing for different types of gold is a very simple process and is not reliant upon a hallmark.Although is it of course a legal obligation for sellers to sell Hallmarked jewellery.

Re-hallmarking jewellery is also a relatively simple process that we can carry out for our customers if they have any concerns. You can even take your own jewellery along to the Assay Offices!
