In the hit United States sitcom Friends, one of the recurrent storylines was Ross’s unfortunate love life. The poor guy was married and divorced on three different occasions giving rise to some of the most memorable scenes in the comedy.
David Schwimmer, the man who played Ross on TV for ten years, will be hoping that he is not as unlucky in love as the character he used to portray. The actor has just announced that he is engaged to his current girlfriend Zoe Buckman.
Buckman is a twenty-four year old photographer from the UK who was working as a waitress in bar when she and Schwimmer first met. The Friends star was in London working on his 2007 comedy Run Fatboy Run in which he directed British comedian Simon Pegg.
Schwimmer, who is forty-three years old, also directed a number of episodes of Friends before the show’s end in 2004. He is also known for his work in the hit Second World War drama Band of Brothers and has been increasingly involved in directing and theatre work since his stint as Ross Geller came to an end.
Fans of Schwimmer and Friends will be eagerly awaiting a glimpse at Buckman’s engagement ring.
