IGI (International Gemological Institute) is an extremely well respected and world-renowned laboratory which specialises in grading diamonds and precious gemstones.
An IGI certificate is a real 'seal of quality'. This certificate will assure you that the diamond you have chosen is nothing less than it should be.
The value of a diamond is determined through an intricate process during which its gemmological makeup, rarity and quality are examined. This is the only real way of separating one diamond from another. Experts at gemmological laboratories, such as the IGI, use powerful analytical tools and have years of experience in grading diamonds.
The diamond you are buying has been through a rigorous testing process and the independent report/certificate you receive with your jewellery confirms its true qualities.
These certificates can also be validated on the IGI website. By entering your diamond certificate number on the IGI website, you will be shown a verified copy of the report that you have.
Does this make an IGI certified diamond more valuable?
Yes, a diamond with an IGI certificate is much more valuable and sought after than one without.
The IGI report, together with the online validation process, gives you peace of mind when you purchase your diamond. For any prospective buyers or new owners, it’s confirmation of the diamond’s authenticity and quality.
Is This Diamond Conflict Free?
Yes. All the diamonds we sell, including our IGI certified range, are conflict free.
Are IGI certified diamonds any different to other diamonds?
Yes, an IGI certified diamond is exactly what it says it is. Non-certified diamonds are not independently examined. Therefore, you must rely on the retailer’s opinion.
Why are IGI certified diamonds more expensive than SKD certified diamonds?
Because the IGI laboratory is an international, globally recognised laboratory. SKD is a London-based laboratory.

We aim to dispatch all jewellery within 24 hours of receiving your order. However, due to the volume of product we offer, it is not always possible to have every item in stock. This means that we may need to handcraft a ring just for you, or adjust the size of an item before we send it out. If we’re unable to dispatch your order immediately we’ll give you an estimated dispatch date. In any case, we will always email you with a dispatch date within 8 hours* of receiving your order. If you’ve ordered a ring between a size I(i) and a size R, don’t worry we’re happy to offer one free exchange or resizing if it doesn’t fit. However if it falls outside of the mentioned size range a fee may be applied where applicable to resize or exchange

Please note that for rings smaller than size J or larger than size Q, the width may vary slightly (up to 10%) due to the crafting process. If you need any adjustments, we’re happy to help.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, we’ll make it right — fast. We’ll either repair or replace it at no cost to you, or provide a refund once it’s been assessed by our head jeweller.
Our standard returns policy is 30 days to return, and 60 days to exchange.
5-Year Warranty
We stand by the quality and craftsmanship of our jewellery. That’s why every piece comes with a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. In addition, all our jewellery is fully hallmarked in accordance with UK legislation, certifying its authenticity and origin.
Please note, this warranty does not cover damage resulting from general wear and tear, accidental damage, loss, theft, or improper use. For added protection, we recommend taking out specialist jewellery insurance.
How Refunds Work
Once we’ve received and inspected your returned jewellery, we’ll process your refund right away and email you to confirm. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take 3 to 5 working days to show up on your statement.
We’ll always refund you via the same method you used to make your purchase — whether that was credit or debit card, PayPal, Pay4Later Finance, bank transfer, or another option.
To avoid delays, make sure to include the returns label print-out with your parcel. This helps us identify your return quickly.

If a manufacturing fault is found in the way your jewellery was made, we will repair, remake, or replace it at no cost to you, within the first 5 years after purchase.
What’s Not Covered:
Our warranty does not cover accidental damage, wear and tear, loss, theft, or any work carried out by another jeweller. For example, damage from catching a ring on a door handle, losing an earring in a waste disposal unit, or vacuuming up a bracelet would not be covered. If a piece has been altered or resized elsewhere, the warranty becomes void.

Mined diamonds have been extracted from the Earth. They were created by Mother Nature from carbon atoms subjected to intense volcanic heat and pressure deep underground more than 3 billion years ago.

Mined diamonds and lab diamonds are quality-graded by gemmologists in exactly the same way using the Four Cs – Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat weight.
Therefore, your diamond (regardless of whether it is lab grown or mined) will simply be graded at the quality it has, for example, Premium Quality, H/Si or E/Vs.
Having said that, since lab diamonds are more affordable than mined diamonds per carat, you’ll usually be able to access a much better diamond grade/quality for your budget if you choose lab grown.
“Better” is very subjective. It’s like cars. If someone asks you if an Aston Martin or a Ferrari is better, your answer would depend on your individual requirements.
